When you’ve been married six and a half minutes, people start to ask when you are having kids. When you’ve been married six and a half years they give up asking.
I think our families figured we didn’t want kids and everyone else assumed we couldn’t have them. The reality was, we just had other things going on.
When we found out I was pregnant we knew it would be a big surprise to our families so we wanted to immediately deliver the news to each of them in person. Geography made that a bit of a challenge so we ended up driving quite a ways and making up random stories to get everything on video. We knew we’d want to capture those moments to share with #littlebabyc someday. Since we never intended to post it online, we didn’t consider that we should have turned the phone horizontally so sorry about the vertical video. However, it ended up being the perfect way to announce the exciting news to our friends and social media circles.
The kindness, love and encouragement that followed the announcement was purely incredible. I wish I could somehow save every single bit of it to show our daughter what a loving community awaits her. Any ideas?
